Rearranges the letters of a name into other words - the oldest party trick anagrams have, and the reason more than a few writers ended up with a pen name built this way.

Voltaire is one of the best-documented cases: most historians read it as an anagram of a Latinised spelling of the author's birth name, Arouet, adopted as a deliberate act of reinvention rather than a simple stage name.

For an ordinary dictionary word the anagram generator does a tidier job; this one earns its keep specifically on names, which behave differently from normal vocabulary.

Using it

  1. Type the full name - capitals and spacing are ignored.
  2. Worth trying each part of the name on its own too.
  3. If nothing comes back, try dropping one letter deliberately - a near-anagram often reads better anyway.

Which of these four do you want?

All four run the same engine over the same wordlist. What changes is what each one assumes you are trying to get back.

Questions people actually ask

Why does my full name come back with nothing?

A full name is usually twelve or more letters, and it is very unlikely that one dictionary word uses exactly that set. Try the parts on their own.
